On March 31st, 2010 the Ag Trading Post in Farmer’s Branch, Texas closed its doors.

But now, just a few short months later, the Ag is back and BETTER THAN EVER! Who are we to let a silly thing like a physical location come between us and our success? Our neighbors and friends need quality goods, and we want to accept payment in trade. The solution? Continue offering our same great lines of quality products at competitive prices and require payment in Silver!

Sure, it’s a little easier with a brick-and-mortar building to call home; however, we use the tools we have available to succeed, and presently, the Internet is what we’ll refer to as our temporary facility to conduct trades. Make sure you sign up on our mailing list and connect with us through Facebook to keep up to date with our latest developments and advancements in the spirit of old-fashioned barter!

Thanks again for your continued patronage and support!

Pricing starting at only $6 per pound!

Stress-Free, No Growth Hormones or Antibiotics, Herbicide Free Forages! Just one bite of this tender, USDA-Approved locally grown tasty beef and you’ll never go back to feed-lot beef. Grass-Fed Beef is high in Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids, and much healthier than traditional beef. It is local, and travelled less than 40 miles from the pasture to your kitchen table!

Traditionally, cattle are raised on pasture for the first months of their lives. Then, the vast majority are transported to distant feedlots where they are raised in confinement and switched to a grain-based diet. As a cost-saving measure, their diet may also contain unsavory ingredients such as chicken manure, stale candy, and potato chips. To speed their growth and minimize the health problems that come from their stressful living conditions, the animals are treated with hormones, feed additives, and low-level antibiotics.

By contrast, animals raised on grass-based farms have dramatically different lives. Unlike feedlot animals, they remain on pasture from birth to market. Their diet is their original diet—mother’s milk, fresh pasture and stored grasses such as hay or grass silage. They live such stress-free lives that they are supremely healthy and rarely require the use of pharmaceutical drugs. As in nature, their rate of growth is determined by their genetics and the quality of the forage, not hormonal implants or growth-promoting additives. For all these reasons and more, their products are healthy, wholesome, and natural in every sense of the word.
