Exchange Rate

Each product sold at the Ag Trading Post is priced in units that, to some, could be confused with “dollars”. This is not the case…we do not accept “dollars” at the Ag. However, we assign a numerical value to each ounce of silver, and then correlate the currency value to that of our products. So, one would expect to pay for our products in our trade units a similar number of dollars at any other fine retailer.

We accept four “flavors” of silver at our store:

• AOCS Approved Medallions are accepted at face value (fifty trade units per ounce)
• .999 fine silver bullion is accepted at “spot” plus 5 per ounce
• .999 fine silver government coins (eagles, maple leafs) are accepted at “spot” plus 10 per ounce
• 90% “junk” silver coinage is accepted at 15 times the “face value”

If you do not have any silver, AOCS or otherwise, we suggest you participate in an Ag Silver Buyer’s Club bulk purchase.
